My Journey
Pastor Jessica Cunningham established Soldiers For Christ Ministries in 2009. She began her ministry with small weekly bible studies and prayer meetings in her home. As people began to hear about the informative bible study and anointed prayer meetings, the fellowship grew. As a result, various church affiliations would invite her to speak at their church facilities, bringing the gospel message of Jesus Christ and teaching the body of Christ the doctrine of the word of God pertaining to the Kingdom of God. As an ordained Minister and Pastor, she began holding weekly bible studies in her home, monthly deliverance services, and weekly prayer on the prayer line. The deliverance services were held at the DWP Community Center on King & Crenshaw Blvd. in the Baldwin Hills area of Los Angeles, CA.
Becoming more aware of the struggle and needs of the people in the community, Pastor Jessica and her ministry team would facilitate food distributions and clothing give aways for the homeless population, individuals and families who expressed a need to receive assistance. SFCM also serves the community at Thanksgiving time, giving free turkeys to families in need as well as blessing children at Christmas time, giving toys to them and bringing joy to families. There are many in the community that are looking for help and truly have need of help, financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Currently, Pastor Jessica mentors' ministers and various individuals in the body of Christ, aiding in their preparation to grow in public ministry. Pastor Jessica has also established a Bible College called Bootcamp Academy for Leaders that is certified to teach foundational biblical doctrine where students can earn their Certificate in Ministry. From there, students can go on to earn their Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and Doctor of Ministry degree in various modes of biblical study. This is an online curriculum, however, there are weekly Zoom classes designed specifically for those who need additional help. She also ministers the word of God to the homeless population in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
This anointed woman of God is married with adult children and teen-aged grandchildren. As a wife, mother, grandmother and caretaker of her mother who is a widow, she is not only family oriented, but also serves her family and others as a virtuous woman of God.
Pastor Jessica Cunningham welcomes each and every person to join with her in serving the community. Those who decide to assist SFCM will receive biblical and spiritual empowerment to serve, will have a forum and opportunity to exercise their gifts and talents, and will be prepared to do the work of the ministry in excellence.
